Shiori Kawasaki


Born and raised in both Japan and U.S. After graduating in American-English Literature from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, Shiori worked for world-known Japanese photographer Kishin Shinoyama, where she grew her interests toward photography. In 2006 she moved to New York where she attended the one-year certificate program in International Center of Photography and studied Documentary and Photojournalism.  After graduating from ICP, she has been exhibited in several group shows in NY. She is currently based on Brooklyn, NY while traveling back and forth between Japan and US. Her work is shown in Coyote, BRUTUS, UOMO, Reed Pages, among many other magazines. She has also worked with several underground Japanese musicians includes STANCE PUNKS.
